WhiskerTalk is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We collect only essential data needed to provide our feline translation, acoustic analysis, and community features:

Account Information: Display name, email address, and encrypted credentials when you opt to register a Community profile.
On-Device Audio Signals: Audio recordings are processed on your iOS device to extract acoustic feature vectors. Raw audio is never permanently stored on external servers.
Cat Profile Data: Names, breeds, ages, and notes entered for your personal cat profiles are saved securely.
Opt-In AI Features: MeowChat and Vision posture analysis send text prompts or image preview frames only after explicit user consent.

🛡️ Explicit AI Consent Guarantee: WhiskerTalk requires explicit opt-in before sending any data to remote AI inference providers. You can review or revoke consent anytime in Settings > AI Privacy.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used strictly to provide and enhance your WhiskerTalk experience:

To compute acoustic mood interpretations (Happy Purr, Playful Trill, Demand Meow, etc.).
To power instant MeowChat responses and expert AI behavior consultations.
To enable multi-device sync and purchase restoration via Apple StoreKit.
To ensure community safety and prevent abuse.

3. Third-Party Integrations

We work exclusively with high-security infrastructure providers:

Apple StoreKit: Manages all in-app purchases and subscriptions securely without exposing payment credentials.
Cloudflare Workers & Workers AI: Encrypted edge execution for backend routing and privacy-preserving AI inference.
Supabase Authentication: Encrypted JWT identity management.

4. Data Retention & User Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You maintain 100% control over your data. You may delete your account and all associated community posts at any time directly in the app via Settings > Account > Delete Account.

By installing or using the WhiskerTalk iOS application or related services, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Subscriptions & One-Time Purchases

WhiskerTalk offers transparent purchase options:

Consumable & One-Time Packs: Whisker Pack ($2.99) and Unlimited Whisperer ($6.99) provide instant lifetime or credit-based access without auto-renewal.
Subscriptions: Monthly ($4.99/mo) and Yearly ($29.99/yr with 3-day free trial). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period in your iOS Settings.

3. Community Guidelines & Conduct

WhiskerTalk Community is a welcoming space for pet lovers. Users agree not to post objectionable, deceptive, abusive, or copyrighted material. Official team content and verified AI Behaviorists are clearly badged as "WhiskerTalk Team" or "Verified AI Behaviorist" for complete transparency.

4. Intellectual Property

All software, audio synthesis algorithms, designs, and brand elements of WhiskerTalk are the exclusive property of Simon Kibunyi and protected by international intellectual property laws.

5. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WhiskerTalk operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
